Our MissionOur mission is to offer the highest quality medical and surgical skills in a caring, clean and friendly atmosphere. We feel, just like you, that pets are an important part of a family. We want to work with you to achieve long, healthy lives for your pets.
Company ProfileWasilla Veterinary Clinic opened as a partnership between Dr. Phil Meyer and Dr. James "Jack" Morris in August of 1978. Our first location was in a small one story clinic next to the original Wasilla airport in downtown Wasilla. The practice and the city grew and in 1986, our new clinic was built to offer comprehensive medical and surgical care for animal patients. The clinic contains a full laboratory and pharmacy as wells as X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental and surgical areas. As a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Wasilla Veterinary Clinic adheres to their rigid requirements for quality medical care as well as participates in comprehensive inspections. AAHA has contributed greatly to the care of patients and encourages continuing improvement through meetings and seminars with that goal in mind. We are proud to be a member of the organization. We are members of the Matanuska Susitna Veterinary Medical Association, South Central Veterinary Medical Association, Alaska State Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Associations. We have been voted as Best Veterinary Clinic by the Frontiersman poll. Dr. Phil Meyer has served as President of the Alaska State Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. James Morris serves on the Alaska State Board of Veterinary Examiners. Dr. Harold Spalding serves as State Representative to the American Veterinary Medical Association.
